A practical printed chart is more than a colorful picture. It must make every cell countable, identify similar colors by code, and show how many beads of each color to prepare. This page shows real color-coded charts from the site and includes an A4 calculator for one-page reference prints or full-size tiled prints.

REAL CASE

Real color-coded printable charts

These charts come from the site’s pattern library and include coordinates, a cell grid, printed color codes and a palette legend. Scale the whole chart to one A4 sheet for reference, or estimate how many A4 pages are needed when each printed cell should be close to the physical bead diameter.

PLANNER

A4 page and orientation calculator

Enter grid width, grid height, bead diameter and print margin. The tool calculates physical project size and compares portrait versus landscape A4 page counts at 100% scale. A normal reference chart can still be printed with Fit to Page.

PROCESS

Three steps to a clear printable chart

Inspect before exporting

Confirm background treatment, grid size and palette, then correct important cells before downloading the chart.

Choose reference or actual size

Use Fit to Page for a compact guide. Use 100% or Actual Size only when the paper grid should match bead scale and page tiling is acceptable.

Check print preview

Verify orientation, margin, page order and scale. Disable browser headers and footers so the URL and date do not shrink the chart.

FIXES

Why printed bead charts become hard to follow

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I print the complete pattern on one A4 sheet?

Yes. Choose Fit to Page for a compact placement reference. The grid, coordinates and codes remain useful even though cells are smaller than physical beads.

How can printed cells match 5mm beads?

Calculate the physical grid size, then select 100% or Actual Size in the print dialog. If it exceeds the printable A4 area, the design must be tiled across multiple pages.

Why are the printed color codes too small?

Use the original high-resolution PNG rather than a messaging thumbnail. Print landscape or across multiple pages, or keep the share link open on a phone or tablet and zoom in.

Does the chart need color printing?

Color is helpful, but printed codes and the legend are just as important. They let you choose exact beads even when printer color differs from real plastic.

Can I export a PDF?

The main export is a high-resolution PNG. Your browser or operating-system print dialog can save the image or page as PDF while preserving the chart content.
