A practical printed chart is more than a colorful picture. It must make every cell countable, identify similar colors by code, and show how many beads of each color to prepare. These charts come from the site’s pattern library and include coordinates, a cell grid, printed color codes and a palette legend. Scale the whole chart to one A4 sheet for reference, or estimate how many A4 pages are needed when each printed cell should be close to the physical bead diameter.

Choose reference print or physical-size print
- Reference print: scale the complete chart to one A4 sheet for color codes, coordinates and overall placement. Printed cells will be smaller than real beads.
- Physical-size print: use 100% scale so cells are close to 5mm or 2.6mm; a large chart will be tiled across several A4 pages.
- Printing is optional: a generated share link or original HD PNG can stay open on a phone or tablet, with bold guide lines for counting.
- Always keep the color legend and count by color. Similar colors cannot be identified reliably from printed appearance alone.

- Using a compressed chat preview: open the generated link or original HD file instead of printing a thumbnail saved from messaging.
- Missing automatic scaling: use 100% for physical-size pages and Fit to Page for a one-sheet reference; do not confuse the two.
- Losing page order after tiling: confirm orientation in preview, lay pages out by row and column, and tape them before counting across a seam.

Why are the printed color codes too small?
Use the original high-resolution PNG rather than a messaging thumbnail. Print landscape or across multiple pages, or keep the share link open on a phone or tablet and zoom in.
Does the chart need color printing?
Color is helpful, but printed codes and the legend are just as important. They let you choose exact beads even when printer color differs from real plastic.
Can I export a PDF?
The main export is a high-resolution PNG. Your browser or operating-system print dialog can save the image or page as PDF while preserving the chart content.
