From “looks similar” to “can actually be built”
This is an independently maintained product. Its goal is not to add a pixel effect to a photo, but to make a chart with color codes, bead counts and a practical workflow for building the design offline.
Last updated: July 27, 2026The problem we are solving
An image that looks good on a screen can develop dirty outlines, gray skin tones, too many colors or missing facial features when reduced to a bead grid. A real project also depends on board size, one bead per cell, purchasable colors, exact quantities and structural strength after ironing.
The product therefore connects image preparation with physical making: crop, grid sampling, color quantization, brand-palette matching, manual editing, bead inventory and high-resolution chart export.
How the product works
- Real color references: pixels are matched to purchasable bead color codes instead of screen RGB values alone.
- Buildability first: controls for grid size, color count, subject crop and edge cleanup reduce isolated beads and dirty borders.
- Manual correction: automatic conversion is a starting point. The editor handles movement, zoom, brush work and color replacement for faces and outlines.
- Actionable output: exported charts include coordinates, color codes and quantities for actual placement.
Free and paid features
Regular photo conversion, the gallery, editing and basic export are available directly. AI image and photo-to-cartoon features call external models and have a real service cost, so they use paid credits. We aim to explain the boundary before purchase.
How we improve it
We compare real pegboards, grid sizes, color-distance methods, downsampling choices and completed bead pieces. Algorithm scores help locate problems, but the final test is whether the chart is legible, easy to place and close to the intended result.
Pattern detail pages are indexed in selective batches. We first require a meaningful name, image, making guidance and useful internal links before expanding the set.
Feedback and collaboration
We welcome real finished pieces, palette corrections, classroom craft projects, creator collaborations and reproducible bug reports. We do not publish customer images as examples without permission.
